Configure Layers

From this dialog you can adjust the settings and styling of loaded layers.

Note

Currently any changes made here can NOT be saved. We recommend making long-term styling changes in your map service.

General

On this tab you can adjust the following:

  • Visible - turn on/off the selected layers visibility in the map
  • Selectable - turn on/off the ability for the selected layer to be included in the Selection Results section
  • Layer Name - adjust the name displayed for the layer throughout the application
  • Opacity - slider to adjust the opacity of the layer in the map
  • Information - displays general info about the layer
  • Visible Range - set the min and max zoom the layer will be visible in the map
  • Data Source - version and refresh rate of the layer

Styles

Adjust the styling of the layer in the map.

Fields

Set the Display Field for the layer. Click and hold the 6-dot icon to move the field in the menu. You can also make the following adjustments to the layer's fields:

  • Visible - turn on/off the selected field's visibility in the feature form
  • Editable - turn on/off the ability to edit the field in the feature form
  • Required - turn on/off making the field required when adding or editing the layer
  • Prevent Duplicates
  • Alias - adjust the name displayed for the field throughout the application
  • Description - enter a description for the field
  • Type - select the expected type for the field
  • Use default value - will enter the default value for the field in the form
  • Limit length - sets the length for any entry for the field
  • Remove Field - removes the field throughout the application
  • 3-dot icon - options to move the field to the top or bottom of the field list

Labels

Enable/disable layer labels. When enabled, click Add Label to set the label and its styling.

Filter

Enable/disable filtering the layer visible on the map. When enabled, enter the WHERE clause the filter will use.

Editing

Enable/disable the edit fields of the selected layer. When enabled, click on the fields selected to select the field you want used.

LRS

Enable/disable LRS capabilities for the layer. When enabled, click the LRS Layer Type and select the type, then configure the necessary LRS metadata values below.

Snapping

Enable/disable the ability to snap the layer to another when adding a new feature. When enabled, click Add Snapping to create a snapping rule for the selected layer.
