Add Data

Connect to various data services and/or files-based data.

Instructions​

  1. From the left side menu, click Data and select Add data from the dropdown menu.
  2. Select the data source you want to add:
  • ArcGIS Enterprise - select from Layer, Web Map, Map or Feature Services published by your organization
  • ArcGIS Online - select from Layer, Web Map, Map or Feature Services published on ArcGIS Online
  • ArcGIS Server Map or Feature Layer Service - enter the URL for either a base Map/Feature Server or a direct feature layer
  • ArcGIS Server Web Service - uses a URL to a supported ArcGIS Server web service
  • From File - upload data from a GeoJSON, Shapefile, CSV, KML, KMZ, Excel, JSON, or Text file
  1. If you used the ArcGIS Server Map or Feature Layer Service, ArcGIS Server Web Service, or From File option, after entering the URL or selecting the file, click the Styling tab to edit the options of the layer(s) or Preview tab to review data that will be added.
  2. Click + Add Layer to complete adding the layer(s).
tip

You can uncheck the Zoom to layer checkbox if you don't want the map to automatically zoom to the location of the data you are adding when complete.
