Capture with Averaging
The Capture with Averaging feature captures your position for a maximum of 30 seconds and averages the to create the location of a point asset or multiple points of a line or polygon asset.
::: tip Note Once a minimum of three vertices have been collected, you can click Accept Current to complete capture before the 30 seconds are up. :::
::: note Info To cancel the capture at any time, click Cancel Capture. Pause collection to do something else by clicking Pause Capture, then when ready to continue, click Resume Capture to continue collecting vertices, proceed to step 4 to finish. :::
Point Capture with Averaging
- At the location of the new point asset, click Capture with Averaging.
- While keeping your device near the location, move around the location of the asset until at least three positions are captured.
Line or Polygon Capture with Averaging
- At the start of new line or polygon asset, click Capture with Averaging.
- While keeping your device near the location, move around the location of the asset until at least three positions are captured.
- Move to the next location you want to capture and click Add Point. ::: note Info After a vertex is collected, click the 3-dot icon beside it to access the following options: Add vertex before, Add vertex after, Remove vertex, or Edit vertex. :::
- Click Complete Capture finish capturing vertices.
